The Dymo 550 is designed primarily for use with Dymo-branded labels, and the sensor can be more sensitive to non-Dymo rolls. Ensure the label roll is seated correctly and try a hard reset of the printer. Sometimes, adjusting the label size slightly in the Dymo Connect software (e.g., a small increase or decrease) can trick the sensor.
