For print, you need significantly higher resolution than for webcomics. Aim for at least 300 DPI (dots per inch). This translates to a much larger pixel size – typically 1200-1800 pixels tall, depending on the desired print size. Scaling up a low-resolution image for print will result in a blurry, pixelated appearance.
